About Us
Solidarity – First Insurance Company was established in 2007 with a capital of 24 million Jordanian Dinars and officially commenced its operations in mid-2008. Since its inception, the company has successfully established a strong presence in the Jordanian insurance market, achieving distinguished financial results and advanced growth rates, which enabled it to quickly rank among the leading insurance companies.
In 2015, the company acquired and merged with Yarmouk Insurance Company, which contributed to strengthening its capital base and increasing the paid-up capital to 28 million Jordanian Dinars, fully paid. Today, the company provides its insurance services through sixteen branches and points of sale distributed across various regions of the Kingdom.
The company has also maintained its international credit rating since 2013. AM Best, the global credit rating agency, has affirmed the company’s Financial Strength Rating at B++ and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating at bbb+.
This affirmation reflects the company’s strong financial position, resulting from relatively low underwriting expenses, effective reinsurance programs with a select group of leading global reinsurers, a conservative investment approach, satisfactory technical results, and an effective risk management policy.
It is worth noting that this rating also reflects the company’s strategic importance within Solidarity Group Holding, a leading provider of Takaful insurance solutions in both the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The company has obtained a number of local and international certifications that reflect its commitment to the highest global standards, including:
SO 27001:2013 certification issued by EuroCert S.A Hellas for the seventh consecutive year. This certification specializes in implementing information security management systems and confirms the company’s commitment to applying global best practices in information security, making it the first insurance company in Jordan to obtain this certification.
ISO 22301:2019 certification issued by SGS for the third consecutive year. This certification relates to business continuity management systems and emergency planning, reflecting the company’s commitment to international standards, making it the first insurance company in Jordan to obtain this certification.
ISO 45001:2014 certification issued by DNV for the third consecutive year. This certification focuses on occupational health and safety management systems and confirms the company’s commitment to providing a safe and healthy working environment, making it among the first insurance companies in Jordan to obtain this certification.
ISO 14001:2015 certification, obtained for the first time in 2025. This international certification relates to environmental management systems and reflects the company’s commitment to improving its environmental performance, complying with environmental regulations, and reducing the environmental impact of its operations, thereby enhancing sustainability and corporate environmental responsibility.
